As an immersive film school, the Albany Film Connection program teaches aspiring filmmakers how to write and produce their own films as well as work on other productions. The program features hands-on instruction with experienced professionals who guide students in the production of short films and feature-length movies. The curriculum covers all aspects of filmmaking including scriptwriting, cinematography, editing, post-production sound, and distribution.
Your classroom? A professional production company or another filmmaking facility where you’ll learn by doing. Your teacher is actually your mentor, an experienced industry insider who shows you how films are made today, showing you the process of making films from beginning to end. Other students? There are none–it’s just you and your mentor, although you will get to work with other professionals on the set or on location. Film Connection Albany is unlike any traditional school you’ve ever attended.
